For Media and Journalist

Nepali media industry does not seems to be professional and is under the control of rich businessperson. Due to this, journalists are not able to be free and are working as a cadre of political party. The national mainstream media are somehow biased towards the marginalized community as the Nepali media are occupied with the people of same caste (Hilly Brahmin). In this case, Sah has been providing training and focusing on participation of diverse groups in the media. As well as making the journalist independent and fight for their rights. To support the media and journalist in the time of disaster, Sah worked on different platforms. Similarly, In order to analyze the effects of earthquake in the media institutions, a research was done by Freedom Forum, funded by The Asia Foundation. Being a researcher, Sah examined and suggested about the safety and security of journalist in such crucial times. The government passed the policy, Communication Policy of province 2, where Sah started protesting on those provisions, which were against journalistic freedom and freedom of expression. The unbeaten protest forced the government to make changes in the bill and was under immense pressure. Concerning his thought about the media, it should inclusive so and he has been involved in such movements as much as possible. His works on inclusiveness even made him a member of High Level Commission on Inclusion of Media of Nepal Government.
